One of the biggest obstacles is that birth mother's marry and their name changes, sometimes more than once too. This presents to be especially difficult trying to track down elder women who are not likely to be involved with the internet. Unfortunately and obviously death doesn't help the situation or mental illness, and inaccurate records. It is not unheard of for birth parents and/or social workers provide inaccurate information at the time of adoption.

That aside, the RIARG sibling Registry is in a questionnaire format and not viewable by the general public. Most Registries display a searchable database in which anyone can review the info. Unfortunately, integrity seems to be non-existent within the reunion Registry community. People have and will steal information for purposes of self-gain. RIARG is well away that registries on the internet of this nature are developed and sold to larger search groups without the consent of registrants. Additionally, typically, it is free to register, however, these same sites will charge money for a person to receive the contact information. They may even charge the original registrant fees for searching or whatever else they make up. RIARG strongly urges to stay clear of Troy's List and Search Quest America's registry. This registry is voluntary and completely free. Preserving your privacy and personally information is the utmost importance to our group.

Upon registring we will review your information and cross-reference it with our database, we will inform you one way or the other if we feel there could be a possible match. If there is not, we will maintain the information you provided upon registring in our database in the event your sibling makes the same inquiry. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. Thank you.
